In July of 1999 God gave River of Life Church vision concerning where to plant the new church. We agreed to purchase property in Eastland and establish ministry there.

The property needed much improvement in order to begin building. After some improvements and tons of base rock were hauled in and leveled, pastor Maston set perimeters for the new building and tied strings from metal stake to metal stake to show the dimension and shape of the new facility.

It was hard to see a building on that flat piece of property with only white rock exposed. Is this where we would sit and worship? Are these dimensions the size and shape we want? The new building could not be seen with the natural eye but only by vision of faith.

With every vision, there MUST be a mission. By prayer and faith, a lot of hard work and sacrificial giving the people of River of Life Church went on mission and watched the vision come to pass.

Today the church stands before the community and all can see it. What began as a set of orange string attached from metal stake to another metal stake is now an attractive sanctuary able to seat 300 people and facilities to conduct Sunday School and many other ministries.

There is no real need for the old orange string to be used again.

Today God has given to us a new set of strings. By faith River of Life Church has set a new set of strings around the whole of Eastland County. The vision is plain.

The vision is:
· That all may be saved
· That all may become soul-winners
· That all may become skilled in the ministry of Christ

This vision demands mission.

Our mission today is:
· To win the lost, to show them Jesus
· To disciple converts, to teach them Jesus
· To skill disciples with leadership abilities and qualities, in essence; to lead for Jesus and to lead to Jesus

Unlimited Faith:

Today River of Life Church holds to a faith in God that is unlimited. Strings drawn around Eastland County do not portray the most of God's will, but rather the least of where our faith is.

River of Life Church not only reaches into neighboring counties, it's influence goes well beyond that, even reaching into major cities as well as into Romania.

Acts 1:8
